Additions and updates:
If you wish to view the latest additions and updates, leave the Title and Description fields empty as they will be ignored. Enter the date format as displayed, yyyy-mm-dd (Year-Month number-date). This will list all additions and updates added on or since the date entered.
Wild Cards:
By default, a wild card is utilized in the title and description fields.
If you want to use wild cards, the designated wild card for MensHair.org is a percent symbol (%).
You want to find all videos that include hairpulling or hair pulling. In the Description search field, you would type, %hair%pull% and all videos that contain the words hair and pull will display. NOTE how the usage of the % between hair and pull. This is because sometimes you will find hair pulling as hairpulling, this way you get both versions of the spelling.
To search for all items, put a single percent (%) in the TITLE field. Realize doing so could, depending on your Internet connection, take a several minutes for the screen to display the search results.
Autofill:
It should be noted, most videos contain the cast (actors) in the description field. So if you want to search for a specific actor, just start typing their name in the description field and if he exists, his name will start to autofill as you type. For example, if you start to type Joey St, Joey Stephano and other actors with what you type will auto display.

Are there any recommendations for storing my hair in my hair collection? Members use eBay, other auction sites, or other means to obtain men's hair, primarily in ponytail form. The question has come up on how do I secure the cut ponytail for playing with.
To secure long hair and make it easier to play with and not lose too much of it, you should go to Lowe's, Home Depot, or other hardware store, and get Gardner Bender 8 inch Long UVB Cable Ties and a Gardner Bender Electrical CTT-45 Cable Tie Tensioning Tool (it's plastic and has a grip and a trigger, you put the tie in one end and pull the trigger to tighten the cable tie around whatever, in our case the hair). I call it the gun.
Also make sure you have a manila folder to put the hair in. These folders are available at most stationary stores. Do not use colored manila as it has a tendency to discolor any wet hair.
First, garb a folder, and open it so it is open like a book with the spine running vertically and put a big T, for top, at the top right of the folder.
Hair has a grain to it, if you take a strand of hair and pinch it between your fingers and pull it back and forth between your fingers, you will notice pulling one way is smooth, the other way rough. The smooth direction is going from the persons head to the end of or tip of the hair. Meaning the top is where the hair was cut from the head. You want to store all hair running from the top to the bottom of the folder. This makes it easy when you are done playing with with the hair, you can put it back into its original state. This holds true for locks of hair as well as ponytails.
If the hair is already in a ponytail, great, if not and if it is long enough, to put into a ponytail but do not bind it yet. If it isn't long enough to make into a ponytail, put it in the folder with the cut part at the top and start playing with it.
So with the ponytail, take the cable tie and wrap it around the ponytail next to the existing band, making sure that you have the thick part of the tie (the head) on the outside. Pull the tie through the tight. It will make a ratcheting sound. Take the gun and put the long part of the cable tie into the gun so that it is sticking away from the hair. Make sure the gun is all the way up against the head of the tie. Pull the trigger until the tie has tightened up and it's hard to pull the trigger anymore. Then cut off the long part sticking out of the head of the tie. What this does is secure the hair so you can play with it and wash the hair, losing no or a minimal amount of hair in the process.
When the hair gets soiled, shampoo and condition it just like you do your own hair, being careful only to wash the part up to the tie. Sometimes, freshly washed hair does't have the smell or texture you like. so you may use a hair iron to straighten the hair, or your favorite hair cream, or whatever to get the hair to the way you like it. How do you take photographs of men's hair without being discovered? It's real easy, one is to have a good camera with a good lens. I use a Nikon D40 but any SLR or other camera will work. Hints on getting the photograph without people knowing your doing it.
- Turn off the flash, sound, and display of image after the image has been taken, this way the camera doesn't make any noise or let others know you are taking images.
- Set auto-focus on
- If you have it on your camera, turn ON rapid or continuous shooting. This allows you to get multiple images of the hair and later, you can select the best.
- Know you zoom and how close or far away you can be from that head of hair to get most of it filling the frame. It's better to error on having a smaller image than one where you only get part of the head of hair.
- When shooting a guy's head of hair, I rarely look through the viewfinder, I hold the camera down on my shoulder or elsewhere, pointing the camera at the head and I start shooting in rapid succession.
By following the steps above, the guy and other people around you will never know you snapped photographs of their hair. Over time, you will know exactly how far away from the guy you have to be to get the best photographs of his hair. I found it best to review the images privately fairly soon after taking the images. This way if they were off, fuzzy, or just not good, I could go back and get more pictures while the guy is still nearby. Then share them with us.

I cannot find some videos listed in the Adults section either on-line or at stores. Do you have suggestions?
eBay has an Adult Only section, however, there are a few steps to get there. To search for items in the Adults Only section, from the eBay main screen, at the top to the right of the 🔠Search for anything box, is a 'ALL CATEGORIES ►' menu option, move your cursor over it. The box will expand showing many categories, at the bottom right is EVERYTHING ELSE, click it. In the resulting screen, click 'ADULTS ONLY' which will take you to the Adults Only login screen. The login ID and password are the same that you normally use in eBay. Many of the videos listed here have appeared on the Adults Only section of eBay, if it isn't there this time, save the search and make sure to set eMail notification on. Rick has acquired a few DVD's that are no longer available in the open market.
In the prior step, DO NOT CLICK the 'ALL CATEGORIES â–¼' to the right of the search box. Updated: 02-JUN-2022
Languages: Unfortunately, I've received numerous complaints from guys who felt I shouldn't list foreign sites or items since they could not read them. We all are into men's hair no matter what part of the world we are from. Google has taken great steps to close the language barrier by providing a language translator. Which you see to your left. If you haven't already done so, try bookmarking or add to your favorites
http://www.google.com/language_tools. It is a home page translator, which also serves as an e-mail translator, open up your mind and start communicating with your foreign hair lovers.

Photographs: I've been asked, 'Why don't you include faces in your photograph section?' For those of you who don't know, after Princess Diana's death, laws were changed making it an infringement of ones rights if you can recognize the person. Therefore, you will only see the back of head. Rick has blocked out the face of guys so you will not be able to recognize them so privacy will not be an issue.
All photographs posted on these pages conform to

Removing Gels, Pomades, and other hair products
Several members have mentioned how hard some products are to get out of your hair. One professional suggested the following, 'In our salon, we apply a normal strength shampoo to the hair without water. Water & waxy hair products resist one another, and adding water first repels the shampoo solution. Add a substantial amount of shampoo directly to the hair, and then lather up without water for several minutes. The shampoo alone emulsifies the wax & oil. One or two shampoos is generally sufficient to remove the gels, pomades and other products you put on your hair.' Updated: 18-DEC-2016
Stress (Haircut-related):
Below is Hair Club member John S. Hunt's answer to a question about haircut-related stress (infreader@aol.com).
To answer your Fears, Obsessing, and Haircut Stress question, which I also went through --- I was taught this: A haircut is just a fee-for-service deal, in a public space. The customer is always right. Your part is to show up, have the money, take your turn, say what you want done, don't squirm a lot, be halfway clean, give the barber a little feedback, and climb down
off the chair when it's over. (If you like the barber and his workmanship on you, smile and tip him -- extra at Christmas.)
Getting a haircut can be stressful because it can be a 'control issue.' Are you perhaps giving your say-so and power away to the person cutting your hair, when you maybe deep down want to exercise the power of choice about your personal appearance instead?
If you don't or can't tell the barber what you want, the situation goes to 'default' and the barber cuts your hair much like it was last time (as far as he can tell) or how he thinks it looks right on you today (you could be lucky).
BOYS get told what haircut to have. TEENS test anyone who tells them how to wear it, are working out their hairstyle(s); and teens are often in conflict. MEN have checked out and worked out the way they feel good presenting themselves to the scrutiny of others. Men get and wear the haircut that shows their own sense of confidence and manliness -- and it can change if they choose to adapt to current or changing men's hairstyles.
Don't stay stuck. Don't stay weirded out. If having a haircut is a hurtle, go along to the barber with a buddy or brother who has mastered the scene. Or promise to call a friend afterwards and talk over how it went this time... Or practice being a barbershop 'customer' beforehand with somebody. Or carry along a picture of the haircut you want and hand it to the barber. If you are 'blocked' dealing with a certain barber, try another less threatening barber -- or
shop around for a barbershop with friendlier vibes.
If you have feelings for the barber and strong fantasies around your haircut, take those feelings to a men's rap group or hair club or mentor you trust. It is very important to your personal growth to express what you deeply feel, and to get told you are ok and to get understandingly guided, even inspected and praised! Many others feel the way you do.
What's happening (big picture) is that you are bringing the image of manhood into yourself and lining it up with your own growing sense of who you are. Like, take your hero home to your self-image! This process takes time, and it is emotionally stressing until you get it right. Others have gotten through it -- and though it's never easy to change -- it is easier if you open up in a trusted, supportive group of guys who will hear you -- or you really level with a mentor-type man or partner who's also into haircuts.
Good luck getting down from Haircut Stress. I hope you get to feeling good about your hair, the barbershops venue, and haircuts. You can!
'Another reason to take your feelings to a men's rap group, hair club, mentor or buzz buddy you trust, is for the regular reassurance and working-through of your issues that steady company provides. At best, you probably see your barbershop barber a few paid moments a couple (uncomfortable?) times a month, solely to have your hair cut. Intense and brief -- this is up-close contact but it is really not much one-to-one sharing in the chair! Getting a haircut alone at a barbershop is more of an abrupt encounter than an ongoing relationship you can grow with usually. You want to be exploring and expressing your feelings and needs so you can calm down from Haircut Stress and be enjoying your hair, others' hair, and what thrills you -- without shame or embarrassment.' Video Editing Many guys asked what do I recommend for editing videos. I was a professional video editor trained on the AVID, which is the number one video editor utilized by the major film and television studios. However, the AVID products are way too expensive for individuals. As an alternative, I found Corel VideoStudio to be inexpensive, less than $100, and easy to use for home use. Once you are done editing the video, you can save the video on your hard drive and/or directly upload it to Facebook, Flicker, Vimeo, or YouTube. I recommend the Ultimate version because you get much more for the the extra $5 or $10 than the Pro version.

Your Contributions:
The main reason Men's Hair was established to be a place for men who are into other men's head hair to pass items of men's hair on to others so we all may enjoy our fetish. Many have asked, 'Why don't you update the pages more often?' The answer rests with you. As of late I haven't received much from you and other members.
Everyone needs to contribute, if you see a book, magazine, use a great hair product, or anything that has to do with men's hair, e-mail me so I can pass it on to the other members. If you see a video that involves hair activity, not just good cuts, please e-mail as much information as possible so I can let others know the video is out there. An example of what not to send is Matt Damon's cut in Good Will Hunting. Yes, Matt does sport a great, however, there isn't anything involving his hair. Therefore, there wouldn't be a need to list the movie. However, if Matt would have spent sometime in front of a mirror combing his hair or gets it cut, then you should let me know about it so others can benefit from your discovery. Updated: 30-NOV--0001
